Ratzlaff Family ~ Portraits

It is not often during a shoot that I become incapacitated to take photos. With the Ratzlaff family I had to pause SEVERAL times and take a minute to put down my camera and just laugh. Ratzlaff? More like RatzLAUGH. Hah. Right? Okay. But seriously, I had no idea that three daughters and their parents could be such a riot.

Tim & Carol (the parents/married kids) are truly a couple that embody being forever young and in love. There was no hesitation on their part as I asked them to “hold hands, look at each other, and get nice and close.”  One particular moment made me melt on the inside as I said, “okay, girls just hang out in the background; Tim & Carol hold hands and look at me!” Carol turned to her three daughters and smiled like a school girl saying, “awww!” as if she had just been asked to hold the hand of her high-school crush.

And it is no wonder with such good-looking parents that this trio of girls got drop-dead-gorgeous genes! Brittany, Breanna, and Jill. [let me just say, they are all currently single and are happy to welcome their future husbands! Tim will be conducting interviews on weekday evenings.] You could tell from the start these sisters love each other, and love hanging out with each other. They are FULLLLLL of life. And great hair. And stunning smiles. It was truly a day of firsts for me, not only could I not stop laughing at the Ratzlaff family’s antics, I also found myself singing “i whip my hair back and forth” while these girls played the part and “whipped their hair back and forth.” [see below] I love when people aren’t afraid to let loose a little!

Although I knew and loved both Breanna and Jill prior to this shoot, I have a new love for the Ratzlaff family as a whole.
